Microsoft 365 Backup
Dedicated, independent backup for Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, closing a gap most businesses don’t know exists.
Who this is for: Any business running Microsoft 365 that assumes Microsoft is already backing it up for them.
The Problem
Microsoft 365’s built-in retention is designed for short-term recovery from accidental deletion, not for long-term backup, and it doesn’t protect against a compromised account deleting data on purpose.
Our Solution
We back up Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams independently of Microsoft’s own retention, with a real restore process tested on a schedule.
What's included
- Exchange Online (email) backup
- SharePoint and OneDrive file backup
- Microsoft Teams data backup
- Independent, immutable backup copies
- Scheduled restore testing
- Point-in-time recovery for accidental deletion or malicious activity
This is one of the most common gaps we find during a Microsoft 365 review: businesses assume Microsoft is backing up their email and files, and it isn’t, not in the way a real backup works. Retention policies help with a file deleted yesterday; they don’t help against a compromised account that deletes a year of email on the way out, or a ransomware attack that syncs encrypted files into OneDrive.
Benefits
- Real backup independent of Microsoft’s own retention limits
- Protection against malicious deletion, not just accidental
- A tested, working restore process, not an assumption

Frequently asked questions
Doesn’t Microsoft already back up our data?
Microsoft 365 includes retention and recycle-bin style recovery, which helps with recent accidental deletion, but it isn’t a substitute for independent backup, particularly against a compromised account or a ransomware attack that encrypts synced files.
How far back can we restore?
This depends on your backup retention settings, which we configure based on your business’s actual recovery needs rather than Microsoft’s default retention windows.
